About Me

IMG_6486_edited.jpg

My work explores the liminal space between reality and the fantastical as described in memory. I am fascinated by the way stories evolve from truth to legend, both in personal and collective histories. Through various mixed mediums, I explore this delicate tension of human experience, and the way memories, dreams, and emotions manifest as near-tangible forms. The figures in my work often appear suspended in time or between worlds, and I lean towards dark but vibrant colors to further toe the line between dreams and reality. I also take inspiration from my background in art history and research, drawing influence from the styles (and stories) of artists like Francisco Goya, Alphonse Mucha, and Gustave Doré. By referencing true stories that approach the boundary of fantasy, I invite viewers to confront the magic hidden in everyday life. My art is a portal, inviting exploration into the unseen layers of our collective consciousness.
